Grandchildren Ryker, Brooklyn, Konner, and Evie. Two sisters Maureen L. Sturma and Kathie Chance. He is proceeded in death by his first child, Eric. Mother and Father Paul Sturma Sr. and Mary Ann (Via) Sturma. Brother Paul "Robbie" Sturma, Jr, sister Colleen Reynolds, and Brother in Law Ted Dlubac. As well as many friends.

After Mike's retirement, he started to enjoy Lapidary and Silver Smithing again, which he had learned to do some 30 years earlier. He was an avid rock hound and took great pride in his Silver Smith capabilities. He became the administrator to several Facebook groups and would share his love and skills. He became a mentor and teacher to several people. He enjoyed rock shows and teaching anyone who wanted to listen and learn. He never met a stranger and had a knack for making people feel comfortable. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He passed on his love of the outdoors to his two sons, Ryan and Drew.
He also enjoyed cooking "grilling" and made the best biscuits and gravy. He would do anything for anyone in need. He also loved a great bargain. He will be missed greatly.

Military Honors will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2019, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Funeral Procession to depart from Leesman Funeral Home, 218 South Metter Ave, Columbia, IL, at 12:00 p.m. Please arrive 15 minutes prior.
